Two hours of my afternoon was spent taking down notes for my dissertation topic before I slipped into the 8th floor of the national library to spend the remainder of my day being inspired...

Currently obsessed with emeralds, jades and onyx.
It's funny how I have no real profound opinion on jewelry (or fashion for that matter) other than I like it or I don't. And why I like it or don't is completely arbitrary .(Who else would love art nouveau in all its organic and mystic glory and the clean geometric lines of art deco in equal measures?) Unlike the style icons I so admire - Jackie Kennedy,Diana Vreeland, Lady Amanda Harlech and Daphne Guiness -I am incompetent in my knowledge of the style and substance of art. And so I judge paintings, sculpture, and even clothes and jewelry solely based on my taste and preference.
It's probably not such a bad thing that these are the 2 things I trust most in the world.

No me lo puedo creer. Sin duda el tiempo pasa demasiado rápido, pero que ya haga un año desde que abrí Urban & Trendy me parece increible.

Trás aquella sosa presentación sin apenas contenido, vinieron 76 posts más. Lo sé, deberían haber sido más pero es tiempo me come y hago lo que puedo. Vinieron también más de 47600 visitas, y vuestros comentarios, y simplemente vuestras ojeadas al blog. Todo esto es lo que realmente me anima a seguir escribiendo y actualizando :) Así que una vez más GRACIAS y espero estar aquí muchos años más porque es de lo mejor que me ha pasado.
Y tras un año con esto quizás os esperabais algo mejor y más especial como 'celebración' pero he de decir que hoy será la primera vez que publique fotos hechas por mi en Urban and Trendy (aunque yo de buena fotografa no tenga mucho) jajaj

Definitely an upgrade from my battered scotch tape covered Nokia. Hahaha!
