Nunca he sido muy de alfombras rojas ni de vestidos de gala. Tampoco de escotes corazón, ni espaldas al aire, y menos de la lucha de 'a ver quien lleva el vestido más brillante de la noche'. Los veo artificiales, muy preparados, nada espontáneos y menos personales. Soy más de los looks del día a día, de los street-style y de la moda verdaramente real, la que refleja la personalidad de cada uno.

Quizás me equivoque y en un tiempo cambie de opinion, quién sabe pero de momento de esa parte del mundillo tan solo destapo una excepción que se salta la regla (como en todo). Se llama Diane Kruger, y si además lleva un little dress, se convierte en la 'reina'.

My name is Camille, I am 22 years old and living in Australia. My style is casual but chic. I love to mix designer items with vintage.

- In what do you get inspired when you create your outfits? Any style muses?

Fashion magazines would have to be my main inspiration for how I pull together my outfits, i love the editorial shoots I always pick up good ideas on how to wear clothes in a unique way.

- Which are your favourites shops and brands?

My favourite shops would have to be vintage shops and ebay, best place for a bargain and that unique find. I don't really have a favourite brand, i just buy whatever I fall in love with.

FASHION STARTS HERE

The other day I was thinking about where fashion and trends are born. I realised that there are two ways. The first one is when the models, and the designers created new trends on the catwalk and then they came to us; and the other way is when fashion starts onthe streets and then it could raise to high levels and it has influence on the designer, stilist, and models.

This second ways starts in people like Karla. You maybe know here because she is one of the mosts famous "net-celebrities". Her blog is Karla's closet, and she accepted to answer to this interview. I hope you like it and really thanks to Karla. :D

Ayer llegué a la conclusión de que la moda y las tendencias pueden nacer en dos sitios diferentes. Están aquellas que nacen con las modelos, y los diseñadores en las pasarelas, y poca a poco van bajando hasta nosotras; y están aquellas otras que nacen en la calle y puede que influyan en diseñadores, estilistas...

Este segundo tipo empieza en gente como Karla. Muchas ya la conocereis, su blog es Karla's closet, y ha aceptado a responder a mis preguntas. Espero que os guste al entrevista, y muchas gracias a Karla por contestar.

Describe you (I mean name, age and where do you live) and your style.
My name is Karla Deras, I’m 19, and I live in Simi Valley.
As of late, I’d say my style has sort of evolved into something a little more mature. I really love playing around with textures more than anything else and I love masculine pieces- I’m always stealing (not borrowing) my boyfriend’s blazers and tarnished tees.

In what do you get inspired when you create your outfits? Any style muses?
I’m inspired by everything. I always say this but, I have this huge inspiration board on my wall which is basically a collection of editorial shots I’ve torn out of magazines, photos from some of my favorite artists, pictures I’ve taken from style blogs, and a variation of other random stuff. I’d say my style muse is Audrey Hepburn- her elegance is definitely something to be admired. I also really love Taylor Tomasi for her ability to layer in such an impeccable manner and Vanessa Coyle for mixing designer and vintage so effortlessly.

Which are your favourites shops and brands?
I’m a lover of thrift shops of all kinds. There are some here in LA/Burbank that I’m pretty faithful to like Hubba Hubba and Wasteland. I also love H&M and Zara.

CHANEL

Siento no poder postear con mucha frecuencia pero es que últimamente estoy bastante ocupada, en verdad, siempre estoy ocupada.

Hoy quería hablar de Chanel Iman, una nueva modelo que me ha llamado mucho la atención por su exótica mezcla de razas, coreana, africana y americana. Tan solo tiene 18 años pero ya ha desfilado para numerosos diseñadores de prestigio y apunta alto.

Today I want to talk about Chanel Iman, a new model with a exotic mix of races, corean, african and american. She is only 18 years old but she have paraded for important designers.

Me ha gustado su estilo rockero, aunque Chanel Iman (que por cierto me encanta su nombre) también sabe llevar looks de flores.

I like her rock style but she also wears outfitts with flowers.

Zooey Deschanel nació en Los Ángeles en 1980. Desde pequeña estuvo vinculada al mundo del cine debido a los trabajos de sus padres, y como ella no iba a ser menos, es actriz de cine, televisión y además canta, de hecho a participado en la BSO de algunas de sus películas, y acaba de sacar un disco. PRIMER PREMIO

Si si, no me lo creia ni yo pero ya tengo más de 1000 visitas (todo un reto para mi) y he recibido mi primer premio de parte de Fashion4Students.

Justo en estos momentos estoy viendo Gossip Girl, la verdad es que me encanta esta serie, super entretenida y además sus protagonistas tienen estilo, aunque es cierto que de vez en cuando se pasan de estilosos y te preguntas ¿¿¿Que demonios lleva puesto??? Será de Prada o Gucci pero es horrible.

En la serie, que por cierto creo que sale en Diciembre en España, me he inspirado hoy para el post y pongo aquí algunos de los estilismos que sí merecen la pena copiar.

El estilista también trabajó en Sexo en Nueva York.
