FEAR IS A PRISON

A principios de verano publiqué una imagen de street style y dije que ciertamente era el mejor look que había visto desde hacía tiempo. Aquello reanimó mi interés por los blogs de street style que había dejado un tanto abandonados, y no porque yo me canse rápido, sino porque he de decir que llegó un momento en el que todo me parecía igual y preparado: o bien siempre con las mismas caras, o bien siempre con los mismos pantalones. Suerte que ahí estaba Stockholm Street Style para salvarme y devolverme la inspiración. Fué allí donde le puse nombre a la cara que se tapaba bajo el sombrero de aquella famosa imagen por la que muchas me habíais preguntado. Se trataba de Lucy Williams, quien además de blogger, es asistente de moda y belleza para la web Stylus.com, y desde ahora un ejemplo a seguir.

Negro, negro y más negro. Sé que aún es verano pero no puedo evitar pensar en las nuevas colecciones que asoman ya en las tiendas llenas de colores oscuros y miles de texturas.Qué le voy a hacer si me encanta la ropa de otoño/invierno? De todas formas, no se si será que el espíritu londinense se me ha subido a la cabeza, pero ultimamente estoy aún más obsesionada con este tipo de inspiración. Enjoy.

Creo que ésta es una de las mejores imágenes de street style que he encontrado reciéntemente. Negro, blanco, crema, bermellón, el sombrero, la chaqueta de cuero, y por último pero sin duda, no por ello menos importante, la falda larga. Son fotos como ésta las que me convencen de que estas nuevas faldas que vienen, aún siendo comúnmente conocidas por ser dificiles de llevar, pueden quedar realmente bien. ¿No os parece?

I just think this is one of the best street style images I've found recently. Black, white, cream, vermilion, the hat, the jacket and last but absolutely not least, the long skirt. Photos like this one convince me that longs skirts, a hit for this season that's comming, even if they are commonly known as not exactly easy to wear, could look completely amazing. Don't you think so?

Poco menos de un mes es lo que nos queda de espera para poder ver por fin la cuarta temporada de Gossip Girl (13 de Septiembre). Sin embargo son muchos los spoilers y las fotos del rodaje que nos llegan de París. ¿Se acabó el Oh My God? Parece ser que le dan la bienvenida al Oh Mon Dieu y también a la francesa Clèmence Poèsy que se une a la plantilla.

Welcome back english readers! I know I've been a bit lazy recently so that why I stopped translating my posts but it's time for a new start.

Less than a month is what it rest to finally watch Gossip Girl's new season, the forth one (September 13). However, a lot of spoilers and photos from the filming are coming out from Paris. Do we have to say goodbye to the 'Oh My God'? It seams like we should say hello to 'Oh Mon Dieu' and also to the french actress Clèmence Poèsy who joins the serial.

Cambiando de tema, quizás hayais notado que estoy realizando algunos pequeños cambios en la plantilla del blog y los gadgets. De hecho, aún estoy solucionando algunos problemas, pero por el momento he añadido: un nuevo cuadro de búsqueda al final de la columna lateral, un botón 'Me gusta' bajo cada entrada de manera que podais conectar con facebook cuando os guste un post y por último un cuadro de feed donde introduciendo tu email muy fácilmente te subscribirás y recibirás los nuevos posts directamente en tu email.

Además recordad que aún podeis participar en el sorteo de la camiseta del post anterior y que mi cuenta de formspring sigue abierta...go and ask me anything!

Changing topic, you may have noticed that I've been working on the blog design and its gadgets. I'm actually still fixing some problems but for now I've added: a new searching box at the end of the sidecolumn, a 'Like' button  below each entry so you can connect with facebook when you enjoy a post and finally a feedburn box where you can easily introduce your email in order to recieve the new posts directly in your email.

IN BACK OF THE REAL

Ya ni me acordaba de aquellas fotos que ayer encontré de mis viajes de hace años (que pintas...), ni de esta editorial que estaba junto a ellas y que fue una de las primeras que guarde en mi ordenador, hoy lleno a rebosar. Ya ni me acordaba de lo mucho que me gustaba rebuscar en los recuerdos, ni del tiempo que hacía que no posteaba ninguna editorial completa.

 Corria entonces el año 2006 (que lejos suena ya) cuando Stephen Shore al otro lado de la cámara, fotografiaba a unas jóvenes (aún más si cabe) Jessica Stam, Isabelli Fontana, Britni Stanwood y Guinevere van Seenus. No se lo que tiene, quizás los colores, puede que los look atemporales (acaso no os pondriais hoy algunas de esas prendas? )  o el hecho de hacer increibles unas escenas de lo más corrientes; pero In back of the real fue, es y será siempre una de mis editoriales favoritas.

¿Quién no ha dicho alguna vez que quiere ser como sus idolos? ¿Quién no ha soñado con ser quien no es? o ¿Quién no ha jugado de pequeño a ser alguien que admiraba?
